Awakaan Bimaaji is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal shelter dedicated to providing a safe haven for animals within the White Earth Reservation. Our mission is to reduce overpopulation, and the abuse and neglect of domestic animals. We seek to provide and promote the health and humane treatment of animals on the White Earth Reservation by providing shelter, animal protection and community outreach. All actions are based on our Anishinaabe traditional teachings and way of life. We rely on the support of volunteers and donors to continue our vital work.
