White Earth Animal Control Pet Food Giveaway/Registration Event Collaboration

This spring we collaborated with White Earth Animal Control to get more animal-related events out in the community - we volunteered at each event in various capacities to serve as many people and pets as possible. From March through May we visited the Pine Point, Rice Lake, White Earth, Mahnomen, Waubun, Elbow Lake and Naytahwaush communities to help give away pet food, pet supplies and flea and tick medication. It was nice to meet so many new people and to see so many familiar faces - a bonus was seeing some friendly pups that came to say hi and get treats! Altogether 12,691 pounds of dog food, 4,087 pounds of cat food, 5,200 pounds of cat litter, 80 various pet items (kennels, scratching posts, beds, ramps, etc) and 123 doses of flea and tick treatments were given out to local families. We look forward to assisting with future events alongside White Earth Animal Control! Thank you for everything that you do for the community and for all the long hours you put in Officer Dorman!
